Sai Pallavi was the first choice for the movie V3 starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar

In the upcoming movie V3, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be featured in the lead role. The Amudhavanan-directed movie centers on the gang rape and murder inquiry. V3 is an abbreviation for Vindhya Victim Verdict. The director introduces the film by saying that It is a fight for rights and against injustice, and talks about getting political justice through the same system that initially fails due to pressure from the elected representatives and the people. The story is based on three similar crimes that actually occurred in Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Kashmir.

“In addition to giving a glimpse into the procedures that are followed during such investigations, we are trying to provide a solution to sex abuse in the climax of the film,” he adds. The story unfolds in three timelines — past, present, and future. Varalaxmi’s persona will be tasked with a variety of duties in these scenes. She will be seen as a collector in the past, an IAS officer who has been given the punishing job of running the printing and stationery department in the present, and a human rights official in the future.

The director reveals that he had initially told the story to Sai Pallavi. However, the investors in the movie wanted to start shooting as soon as possible, so we chose Varalaxmi because she agreed to join right away and signed the contract without being paid an advance because there was a delay on the actress’ end. Kannada actress Pavana Gowda plays Vindhya, who becomes the victim. Esther Anil will portray the role of her sister while Aadukamal Naren will be seen as their father.
