Renowned art director and film researcher Sabu Pravadas has passed away following a severe car accident in Thiruvananthapuram. He had been receiving treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for the past ten days and succumbed to his injuries this morning.Sabu Pravadas recently achieved recognition by winning the state award for Best Film Script this year for his work titled “Punasthapanam Navendrajalam.” Notably, he served as the art director for several blockbuster movies, including “Nayhayorakaskal,” “Patram,” “Lelam,” “Parvatheeparnayam,” and “Runbaby Run.”
In addition to his accomplishments in the film industry, Sabu Pravadas had a role as a designer for film festivals, with a notable contribution to the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). He also played a pivotal role in establishing the Publicity Designers Union as its founding leader.Sabu Pravadas hailed from a distinguished background, being the son of Pravada Sukumaran, the proprietor of Pravada Studio located in Ernakulam.
