S Shankar praises Vijay Sethupathi’s Maamanithan

Director Seenu Ramasamy’s Maamanithan, which has hit screens today, has been winning acclaim from celebs in the entertainment world. One of the bosses of the movie is director Shankar, who seems to have been highly impressed by the relationship drama film.

Taking to his Twitter page, the director said that Maamanithan gave him the satisfaction of watching a good film. Stating that Seenu Ramasamy has given a “realistic classic”, he was all praise for Vijay Sethupathi’s performance in the movie. He also mentioned that the actor deserves a National Award for his brilliant acting. He also praised the music of the film, which is composed by the father-son duo of Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.

An excited Seenu Ramasamy expressed gratitude toward the director for his appreciation and tweeted that while Shankar is known for the gloriousness in his movies, he also has a wonderful heart. He expressed, “Director Shankar is a ‘Brammanda Iyakkunar’, but I realize that his heart too is magnificent. I have no words to say to his words of praise,” he wrote.

Maamanithan stars Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in lead roles with Guru Somasundaram, Shaji, Anikha Surendran (of Viswasam distinction), and Malayalam actors Jewel Mary and the late KPAC Lalitha in important supporting roles.
