Renowned music director and singer KG Jayan (90) passed away. He died at his residence in Tripunithura. He has sung many film songs and devotional songs and he has sung a handful of good songs with his twin brother Vijayan, thus earning the name Jayavijayanamar. After the death of Vijayan in 1988, he was on a solo musical journey. Actor Manoj K Jayan is his son.
He started his musical journey at the age of 6, who showed great excellence in the world of Malayalam music through devotional songs, many awards including Harivarasanam came to Jayan.
He also sang the famous Shreekovil Nata thurannu song which is still heard when opening Sabari Mala Nata, he gave many hits in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry, late Sarojini was Jayan’s wife, children Biju K Jayan, Manoj K Jayan, sons-in-law Asha Manoj, Priya Biju, this music in the arena.
