HP Jail Warder Recruitment 2023: Recruitment has been done for 91 posts of Jail Warder in the Prison and Correctional Services Department in the state of Himachal Pradesh.This includes the posts of 77 men and 14 women warders.Candidates will be able to apply for this recruitment from 23 November 2023.The last date for application has been fixed as 22 December.This recruitment will be on contract basis.Zone wise jail warders are to be recruited.Let us tell you that apart from Himachal, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Commission has also started the application process from November 21 for recruitment to various 863 posts.Among these, there are also 271 warder posts in the jail department.
Special features of Himachal Jail Warder Recruitment
To participate in this recruitment, the candidate must have passed 12th.
Age Limit – The age limit for the candidates has been fixed from 18 to 28 years.OBC will get two years relaxation, SC and ST will get three years relaxation.Home Guard candidates will get three years relaxation.
Height Qualification: The height of
male
General and OBC candidates should be at least 5 feet 6 inches.
SC, ST will get a relaxation of two inches.
The height of female
General and OBC candidates should be at least 5 feet 2 inches.
SC, ST will get a relaxation of two inches.
Where are the number
of male jail warders – 4 in Bilaspur, 6 in Chamba, 5 in Hamirpur, 17 in Kangra, 1 in Kinnaur, 5 in Kullu, 11 in Mandi, 9 in Shimla, 6 in Sirmaur, 7 in Solan and 6 in Una. The posts are to be filled, while 1 each in Bilaspur, Chamba and Hamirpur, Kullu, Sirmaur, Solan, Una, 3 in Kangra, 2 each in Mandi and Shimla.
Selection Process- Physical Test and Written Examination.
Candidates who qualify the physical test will have to appear in the written examination.In physical, you will have to run 1500 meters in six and a half minutes.Women will have to run 800 meters in 4.15 minutes.Men will have to jump 1.25 meters high and 4 meters long while women will have to jump 01 meter high and 3 meters long.
100 multiple choice type questions will be asked in the written examination.There will be multiple choice questions from English, Hindi, General Awareness, Maths, Science, Reasoning Aptitude.Maths will be of 10th level.
