The much-anticipated trailer of Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer period love and action flick, Virata Parvam is at last out and it looks each piece captivating. Roused from true events of the 1990s, Rana plays the role of Comrade Ravanna who is known by his pen name Aranya while Sai Pallavi is seen as his love interest named Vennela.
The movie is said to be a Telugu period drama. It is written and directed by ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ fame director Venu Udugula. The film will have Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi playing the lead characters while Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand will be seen in supporting roles.

‘Virata Parvam’ will supposedly feature the Naxalite movement that occurred in Warangal, Telangana during the 1990s. The film has been shot in original locations. Its cinematography is being dealt with by two cameramen Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Divakar Mani. Virata Parvam has its music created by Suresh Bobbili while award-winning A.Sreekar Prasad has edited the movie.
The film which was before scheduled to release on July 1 has preponed its release and presently it will stir things up around town on June 17, 2022. The film is produced by Rana’s dad Suresh Babu in association with Sudhakar Cherukuri. It was initially decided to release on 30 April 2021 and got postponed to July 1, 2022, due to the Covid protocols and repeated lockdowns in the country. The film will also be released in Tamil and Malayalam dialects along with the original Telugu version.
