The sequel is being directed by P Vasu, who also helmed the original installment. Actors Raghava Lawrence and actor-comedian Vadivelu will play key roles in the sequel. The music will be composed by MM Keeravani, with Thotta Tharani handling production design and RD Rajasekhar handling photography. In the follow-up, Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu, who originated the role of Murugesan, returns.

As the follow-up to the legendary Rajinikanth movie of the same name, which was released in 2005 in Telugu and Tamil and became the largest blockbuster smash, Chadramukhi 2 is expected to exceed all expectations. For those who are unaware, the 2013 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was recently dubbed in Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, was the inspiration for the Tamil film Chandramukhi. It is to be anticipated and watched to see if Chandramukhi 2 would recreate the enchantment because the sequels to this movie never fail to impress the spectators even after many years.
