Actress Raashi Khanna, who most recently appeared in the Tamil film “Thiruchitrambalam” starring Dhanush, canceled her Twitter account on Monday and announced she would be using Instagram instead. The 31-year-old actress made the following announcement on Monday night in her Instagram story: “Hi guys, just deactivated my Twitter account. But I am all here on Instagram. Thankyou!”Raashi Khanna message

It should be mentioned that Raashi Khanna became embroiled in controversy earlier in April after allegedly making some crude comments towards south cinema. Actress Raashi Khanna clarified the rumours in a statement that stated, “Some fabricated and misconstrued content about me bad-mouthing south films is doing the rounds on social media. I request whoever has been doing it to PLEASE STOP. I have utmost respect towards each and every language/film that I do. Let’s be kind”

For her claimed remarks, the actress has received a lot of backlash online, particularly from viewers of South Indian movies. This might be a factor in the attractive actress’ decision to deactivate her Twitter account. On the work front, she will next be seen in the Tamil film “Sardar,” which stars Karthi. The film is likely to hit the silver screens somewhere around Diwali. She also appears in the Hindi movie “Yodha,” which stars Disha Patani and Sidharth Malhotra in the major roles.

Raashi made her acting debut in the Tamil film Imaika Nodigal. Since then, she has collaborated on a number of blockbuster movies with famous actors. She is presently enjoying the success of Thiruchitrambalam’s fame alongside actor Dhanush. The romantic family drama, directed by Mithran R. Jawahar, made its debut on August 18.
