Puneeth Rajkumar will be given the posthumous Karnataka Ratna Award

On November 1 at the Kannada Rajyotsava ceremony, the late Puneeth Rajkumar will receive the highest civilian honour bestowed by the State, the Karnataka Ratna. This statement was made at the annual Independence Day flower show at Lalbagh’s Glass House in Bengaluru by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. On Twitter, fans are lauding this enormous accomplishment.

A special floral tribute was given to Puneeth and his father, Dr. Rajkumar, during the occasion. The flower show’s opening was attended by members of Rajkumar’s family, including Shiva Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, and Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar.
According to a report, speaking at the flower show, CM B Bommai said, “We have decided to confer the Karnataka Ratna award to Puneeth Rajkumar on November 1, we will be forming a committee consisting of Rajkumar family members to prepare for it, it will be conferred with full honour.”

Puneeth Rajkumar will be the tenth person to receive the Karnataka Ratna, the highest civilian honour bestowed by the state. The late actor’s charitable endeavours, which were only made public after his passing, were praised by the whole film industry and citizens of the entire nation.

On October 29th of last year, Puneeth passed away after a severe heart attack. His wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and two daughters predeceased him. He was cremated at Kanteerava Studios alongside his parents’ memorial with full state honours. Celebs from various professions and over 10 lakh people from Bengaluru paid their last respects to Puneeth. His most recent film, “James,” debuted to rave reviews at the box office on March 17.

Gandha Gudi, Puneeth Rajkumar’s most recent movie and a project of his dreams, will soon be released in theatres. His wife, who is funding the movie, shared a new poster and the release date on Twitter.
