PR Jijoy will take charge as the director of KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, Thekumthala at 10 am today. Since 2014, he has been an Associate Professor at Pune Film and Television Institute (FTII).He has been the dean of the film department for 17 months. Worked from 2000 to 2010 as part of the UK-based Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Part of 400 theater shows including foreign countries. Graduated in Theater Arts from School of Drama and Masters in Drama and Theater Arts with Honors and MF from Pondicherry University. He has acted in 55 films, 25 short films and many plays. He is a native of Iringalakuda, Thrissur.
Jijoy said that the goal is to bring KR Narayanan National Institute to international standards. The services of the best teachers will be provided. Students will be given an opportunity to go to foreign countries and gain theater experience. He said that they will try to bring students from foreign universities here.
