RBI serious about Yes Bank

Shaktikanta Das says that the plan of reconstruction regarding YES BANK may be announced next week. Shaktikanta Das said that there is no question of merger of Yes Bank with SBI, it is beyond imagination. He said that it will be helped to raise capital to make Yes Bank stand again.

He said that Yes Bank will be assisted by SBI. Apart from this, many more investors can also come forward. Significantly, the board of Yes Bank has been dissolved by RBI and former SBI officer Prashant Kumar has been appointed as Administrator.

RBI has suspended the YES Bank Board for 30 days and appointed an administrator. Account-holders are allowed to withdraw only Rs 50,000 in a month. At the same time, former SBI CFO Prashant Kumar was appointed as the administrator of Yes Bank, which has more than 1,000 branches and more than 1,800 ATMs across the country.
