Only schools from fifth to eighth will be able to open in Maharashtra after approval from Health Department

Maharashtra Education Department has given permission to open school from fifth to eighth only after approval from the Health Department. This information was given today by School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.

He said that the state government had last month given powers to the district collector and the local authority to take a decision to open the school. Let us tell you that schools have been closed since March due to the Coronavirus epidemic in the state. Schools from 9th to 12th have been opened in many places. The School Education Department will talk to the Public Health Department to open the school, classes will be started once approved. Let us tell you that three lakh students from 9th to 12th are taking classes in 25 districts from November 23.  

Let us tell you that earlier the Maharashtra government had decided to open schools in select areas from November 23. At the same time, schools were not opened in the Nashik, Pune, and Mumbai cities of Maharashtra due to increasing cases of corona infection. Schools were also opened in Pune rural and Aurangabad rural areas.
