No change for NEET exam; The Supreme Court said that all the disputes are over

Earlier in the day, the court had also dismissed the review petitions related to the exam. Some lawyers have gone back to court citing the floods in Bihar and the COVID lockdown. On August 17, a bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra had rejected the pleas to change the JEE and NEET exams. The court said the authorities would take all necessary steps to help the candidates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main Exam. The petitioners pointed out that it was not possible to maintain social distance as more students would appear for the NEET examination.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the National Medical Entrance Test (NEET) cannot be postponed. All preparations for the exam have been completed. New petitions related to this can no longer be considered. The court also rejected a review petition seeking to have NEET replaced. The petitioners wanted the examination to be postponed in the wake of the Bihar floods and COVID 19.

A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy, and MR Shah heard the petition. On August 17, a bench of Justice Arun Mishra dismissed the petition filed by NEET seeking adjournment of the JEE examination.
