Nizhal Malayalam Movie Review, why Nayanthara is choosed for Nizhal

Nizhal-review

Editor Appu N Bhattathiri has been an active presence in Malayalam cinema for more than ten years. Nizhal is the debut film of Appu N Bhattathiri, an independent director. The film stars Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film is produced by Antro Joseph, Abhijit M Pillai, Badusha, director Fellini TP and Ganesh Jose under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company, Melange Film House and Tentpole Movies. Nayanthara returns to Malayalam after a hiatus. The movie’s trailer and posters have already garnered huge audience attention. Now Appu opened his mind in an interview with Asianet News.

The first film was a thriller

Appu says that it was a deliberate decision to make the first film a thriller. Because he is a person who loves thriller movies very much. When I first became a director, I decided that I wanted to be a thriller subject, and that’s how Nizhal happens. The script is written by S Sanjeev.  As it is a Nizhal thriller film, we have to convey that mood to the audience. But I have not been able to edit a full thriller film yet. However, Appu says that I have worked hard to make this film the best. His words about Chackochan and Nayanthara in the lead roles were as follows: None of them was on his mind at the time of writing the film. Fellini TP, one of the producers and director of the film, told Chackochan that he could tell the story. That’s how the story is told to Chackochan. He liked the story as soon as he heard it. There is a strong female character in this, and the next discussion is who will do it.  Then Chackochan said let’s do it with Nayanthara. That is how Nayanthara is approached with this story. In the film, Kunchacko Boban plays the role of First Class Judicial Magistrate John Baby, while Nayanthara plays the role of Sharmila. Then Master Isin Hash, Saiju Kurup, Vinod Kovur, Dr Ronnie, Aneesh Gopal, Siyad Yadu, Sadiq, Divya Prabha and Aadya Prasad are the other actors in the cast. He came to cinema as a co-director and later became an editor. He has made short films and won awards. Ottamurivelicham and Veeram have won state awards. It is a great pleasure to receive an award for a film in which we are also involved. He also revealed that he feels happy when his efforts are recognized.

He also did not forget to mention the changes that took place when the editor became a director. When an editor becomes a director, the responsibility is greater. When the whole thing of a movie comes to us, there is pressure accordingly. We often have the help of a director in the work of editing a film. But he also revealed that the responsibilities I took on when I became a director were far greater than just being an editor.
