While several people on social media have made fun of Malayalam star Nivin Pauly’s physique in recent years, and even claimed that he is losing his charm due to his recent box-office failures, the actor has remained unfazed. In fact, his standard reply to those who have asked him if the comments worried him was that “our body is the only thing we own, so let it go the way it likes”. However, the actor has always stated that he was willing to put in the hard work when it was necessary.
True to his word, the actor appears to have lost a huge amount of weight in preparation for his upcoming 2023 films. The actor and his family were spotted at an airport in Kerala on their way back from a vacation in Dubai. And the photos have already gone viral, with fans comparing the new photos to those taken during the filming of Padavettu as well as Saturday Night Live promotions.
Many Nivin fans took to social media to express their joy at seeing their favorite superstar return to form in songs like Premam, Jacobinte Swargarajyam, and Oru Vadakkan Selfie.

Nivin had previously mentioned that he had gained weight for the role of Padavettu because its director, Liju Krishna, had instructed him to do so. Padavettu’s filming lasted nearly three years. Nivin had stated after his previous release Saturday Nights that he will be working out and losing weight for his upcoming films Thaaram and Action Hero Biju, which require different physiques.
Fans have already labeled the transformation as a long-awaited comeback. Some even compared Nivin to Mohanlal, claiming that both superstars need a big hit this year and that their efforts to deliver could pay off.
Nivin has signed Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming directorial. The actor also has Haneef Adeni’s movie and Thaaram in Malayalam.
