NEET UG Retest: 60 percent improved their score in NEET retest

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the result of the retest of NEET UG exam late on Sunday night. Out of the 813 students who took the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test again, 60 percent have improved their score. But none of them is such whose score matches the earlier score with additional grace marks. According to NTA, only 813 students appeared in the examination held at seven centers in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana and Meghalaya. After no student got full marks, the number of toppers has come down from 67 to 61. NTA also said that the marksheet with the new original score after removing the grace marks will be issued soon to the students who did not take the exam again.

According to the news on the Times of India website, out of the 813 students who gave the retest of National Eligibility cum Entrance, only 60 percent of them were able to improve their original score. Among all these students, there is no one whose current score is equal to the earlier score with grace marks. Among these, there were 4 and 5 students whose score was 720 after grace marks. Talking about the range of grace marks, the range of grace marks that has been removed is being said to be 10 to 40 marks.

750 accepted their previous score
Out of 1563 students, 750 students removed their grace marks and accepted their score and did not give retest. NTA had given this option. Their rank slipped because their grace marks were removed. Let us tell you that these students were given grace marks because they were given the wrong question paper, due to which they did not get the full three hours of the paper.

On the instructions of the Supreme Court, NTA had conducted the exam on 23 June for only 1563 students who had got grace marks in the first exam. No student has got full marks in the retest. Out of the 813 students who appeared in the exam, six are from Haryana who had got 720 out of 720 marks in the first exam due to grace marks. No student has got full marks in the re-examination. Out of 494 students from Haryana, only 287 appeared in the re-examination. After the declaration of the result, the Medical Counseling Committee can start the counseling process from July 6. It is known that earlier NTA had declared the results of the exam on June 4. In this, 67 students had got 720 marks.
