NEET Exam Result 2020 Live Updates

 National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) today. The candidates will be able to check their results on the official website of NTA NEET ntaneet.nic.in after the results are declared. The final answer key will be released shortly or before the NEET result. Result time has not been confirmed today by NTA. In such a situation, it is not confirmed at what time the results will be announced today. The NEET exam was conducted across the country on September 13 in pen paper mode. A total of 15.97 lakh candidates had registered for this examination. Of these, 85 percent to 90 percent of the students had given the exam. Candidates who have succeeded in this examination will get admission in MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges of the country.

3:44 PM:  NEET Result 2020: How to become a state merit list
States make their merit list based on the category of students, keeping in mind the All India Rank for admission to their medical colleges. 

3:04 PM: NEET Result 2020: How AIQ merit list is
made Based on All India rank and Reservation roster provided by DGHS, All India quota seats are merit list.

2:46 PM: NEET 2020: These seats will be available for admission under different quota
– 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats
– 85% state quota seats
– Deemed and Central University / University
– Private Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Siddha / Unani / Homeopathy College or Private University in State / Management / NRI Quota Seats
– Central Pool Quota Seats
– Private Unaided / Aided Minority / Non Minority Medical Colleges Admission on all seats including NRI Quota and Management Quota The merit of the result will be the same. 

2:34 PM: Last year, Nalin Khandelwal of Rajasthan topped

Last year, Nalin Khandelwal of Sikar district of Rajasthan topped the NEET exam. Nalin had scored 701 out of 720 and 99.9999291 percentile.
2:24 PM: This time AIIMS and JIPMER will also be admitted to NEET

Until last year, AIIMS and JIPMER had their own exams. But from this time, admissions in these two institutions will be from the marks of NEET. 

1:26 PM: NEET 2020 Cutoff – Tie Breaking Rules 
If two or more candidates get the same marks in the NEET UG result, then the rule of tie breaking is adopted. 

Points of Biology: Firstly, marks obtained by the candidate in the Biology (Zoology + Botany) section of NEET Question Paper 2020 will be considered. The candidate who has got more marks in Biology section will be placed higher in order of merit than others.

Chemistry Points: If the tie conditions still prevail, the marks obtained by the candidate in the Chemistry section of NEET 2020 will be considered. In NEET 2020, the candidate who has got more marks in Chemistry will be ranked higher in the rank than the candidate who got less marks in the same subject.

Less Wrong Answer: Even after this the tie condition remains, then the candidates who have given less wrong answers will be placed above the candidates who gave more wrong answers.

Age: If all other tie-breaking factors fail in ending the tie condition, then age will be considered at the end. Candidates with higher age will be given priority in merit order over others.

1:16 PM: NTA NEET 2020: What Happens in
NTA NEET Counseling  : During NTA NE Counseling, eligibility conditions, self declaration based on rules set by respective authorities and / or Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Siddha / Unani / Homeopathy colleges. And student documents are examined. The NTA has no responsibility for the details and upload documents provided by the student during the application process. Prior to admission, the relevant authorities verify the details given by the students. 

12:46 PM:  NTA NEET Result 2020: The cutoff will be released with the
result, after the announcement of the cut-off NEET result, the  authority that handles medical admission in all states will remove the category wise cutoff for admission to their state medical colleges. After the result of the candidates, check the website of the respective authority of the states.

12:14 PM:  NEET Result 2020 Merit List: It is mandatory
for general and EWS category students to bring at least 50 percentile in NEET UG to get admission in Necessary Percentile Medical College for qualifying NEET  . For SC, ST and OBC students, this minimum qualifying mark is 40%.

08:30 AM: NEET result was expected to come on 12 October but the exam result was set on 16 October to give opportunity to Covid-19 affected NEET candidates. The Supreme Court had allowed the NTA on October 14 to take the examination of children who could not appear in the NEET examination on 13 September due to being corona infected and in the Containment Zone. In such a situation, 188 children took the exam on 14 October. 

08:20 AM: After NEET result, State Wise merit list will be issued for conducting NEET counseling for admission for 85% of medical and dental seats. Candidates will be able to apply for 15 percent of All India quota and 85 percent of state quota seats. 

08:00 AM: Under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), admission is made for the seats of Government Medical College (except Jammu and Kashmir), Central and Deemed University, AFMC Pune. Whereas under 85% state quota, the concerned state authority will conduct counseling for admission in state government and private medical and dental colleges. 

07:50 AM: NEET Results 2020: You will be able to check

– Click on NEET UG Result 2020 link. 
Submit by entering your roll number and other details.
– Your result will appear on the screen. 

07:35 AM: Cutoff can go up It is being
told that NEET Cut off 2020 can go up this time because the number of students was high. Also, due to the postponement of the corona, students got much more time for preparation. Apart from this, the question paper was also said to be relatively easy.
