National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) shortly. The candidates will be able to check their results on the official website of NTA NEET ntaneet.nic.in after the results are declared. The final answer-key will be released shortly or before the NEET result. Result time has not been confirmed today by NTA. In such a situation, it is not confirmed at what time the results will be announced today. The NEET exam was conducted across the country on September 13 in pen paper mode. A total of 15.97 lakh candidates had registered for this examination. Of these, 85 percent to 90 percent of the students had given the exam. Candidates who have succeeded in this examination will get admission in MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges of the country.

4:00 PM:  NTA Neet website down at 4 o’clock

The website of NTA NEET ntaneet.nic.in has been down since 4 o’clock. There were speculations that the result may be released around 4 pm. As such, the traffic on the site has increased significantly. Students have flocked to check their results.

3:44 PM:  NEET Result 2020: How to become a state merit list
States make their merit list based on the category of students, keeping in mind the All India Rank for admission to their medical colleges. 

3:04 PM: NEET Result 2020: How AIQ merit list is
made Based on All India rank and Reservation roster provided by DGHS, All India quota seats are merit list.

2:46 PM: NEET 2020: These seats will be available for admission under different quota
– 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats
– 85% state quota seats
– Deemed and Central University / University
– Private Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Siddha / Unani / Homeopathy College or Private University in State / Management / NRI Quota Seats
– Central Pool Quota Seats
– Private Unaided / Aided Minority / Non Minority Medical Colleges Admission on all seats including NRI Quota and Management Quota The merit of the result will be the same. 

2:34 PM: Last year, Nalin Khandelwal of Rajasthan topped

Last year, Nalin Khandelwal of Sikar district of Rajasthan topped the NEET exam. Nalin had scored 701 out of 720 and 99.9999291 percentile.
2:24 PM: This time AIIMS and JIPMER will also be admitted to NEET

Until last year, AIIMS and JIPMER had their own exams. But from this time, admissions in these two institutions will be from the marks of NEET. 

1:26 PM: NEET 2020 Cutoff – Tie Breaking Rules 
If two or more candidates get the same marks in the NEET UG result, then the rule of tie breaking is adopted. 

Points of Biology: Firstly, marks obtained by the candidate in the Biology (Zoology + Botany) section of NEET Question Paper 2020 will be considered. The candidate who has got more marks in the Biology section will be placed higher in order of merit than others.

Chemistry Points: If the tie conditions still prevail, the marks obtained by the candidate in the Chemistry section of NEET 2020 will be considered. In NEET 2020, the candidate who has got more marks in Chemistry will be ranked higher in the rank than the candidate who got fewer marks in the same subject.
