NEET UG 2023: Apart from increasing the application fees and reducing the number of exam centers, NTA has made another important change in the medical entrance exam NEET UG.National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the tie breaking policy of NEET (NEET UG).If two or more students have the same number, who will be placed higher in the merit, it is decided by the tie breaking policy.Till last year, age and NEET UG application number used to decide the tie.But this time NTA removed the irrational rule of giving better rank on the basis of higher age and application number.NTA has issued only 7 rules in the year 2023 by removing the last 2 rules out of total 9 rules of tie breaking for the year 2022.
As per the tie-breaking policy of NEET UG 2023, in case of equal marks, the marks in Biology will be considered first to decide their rank. The one who will get more marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) will be placed higher in the rank.If there is no decision, then the marks of Chemistry and then Physics will be compared.
