Nayanthara and Prithviraj’s Gold will release in theaters on Onam

The release date for Alphonse Puthren’s next film Gold, starring Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has been set. The film will be released on Onam in theatres on September 8. The will be released in Malayalam and Tamil at the same time. It is one of Mollywood’s most sought and anticipated films.

It has also been reported that Subbiah Shanmughan’s SSI Productions has acquired the Tamil Nadu distribution rights. After the puja ceremony on September 8, 2021, the film went into production. The project’s shoot has already concluded, and images of Nayanthara from the set of the film have drawn a lot of attention from moviegoers. Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran will appear together in the suspense drama Gold. After the intriguing teaser, the team released the equally enthralling first look poster for the film.

The Malayalam drama, billed as an action-comedy, was written, edited, and directed by famous filmmaker Alphonse Putharen, well known for his work in the 2015 love film Premam. This film marks Alphonse Puthren’s comeback to directing after an almost seven-year hiatus. Gold, which is produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen, will also include Ajmal Ameer, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar, and Chemban Vinod Jose in supporting parts.

Ajmal Ameer, Krishna Sankar, Shabareesh Varma, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Mathew, Mallika Sukumaran, Deepti Sati, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Jagadish, Saiju Kurup, and others round out the cast of Gold. Prithviraj Sukumaran previously mentioned in an interview that ‘Gold’ is a complete Alphonse Puthren film. He noted that the film contains all of the features that one would expect from an Alphonse Puthren production.

In ‘Gold,’ Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing Joshi S, and Nayanthara is playing Sumangali Unnikrishnan. The upcoming project will also be the duo’s first full-length feature film collaboration. The duo previously appeared in a song sequence in the 2008 Malayalam film Twenty:20.’
