Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aliya sends legal notice for divorce to the actor

Alia Siddiqui, wife of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has filed a legal notice for the actor. Alia Siddiqui’s lawyer sent a notice to Nawazuddin Siddiqui on May 7 via email and WhatsApp as the speed post was not available during the coronavirus pandemic. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has not responded to the notice yet, the lawyer said. He said the details of the notice were confidential and sensitive and did not divulge much details.

The actor is currently in Budhana, Uttar Pradesh along with his family members. He went to UP on May 12 after his mother suffered an anxiety attack after her younger sister died of breast cancer last year. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Alia have been married for over a decade.

The couple has two children. In 2017, it was reported that their marriage had collapsed, but they had since been denied divorce. Though no response has been received from Nawazuddin’s side, Alia’s lawyer said that if the actor does not respond within the next 15 days, legal action will be taken.
