After the success of Uyare, S Cube Films has released their next. Aniesh Upaasana, who has previously directed movies like Matinee, Seconds, and Popcorn, will be directing the movie, which will have Navya Nair and Saiju Kurup in the key roles. On Thursday, the actors and crew participated in a ceremonial pooja ceremony to officially start the project.
Navya Nair and Saiju Kurup’s latest film, produced by SCube Films, began the shooting on Thursday with a puja ceremony held close to the Karuvannur River in Thrissur. The official switch-on ceremony was conducted by Chairman and Managing Editor PV Chandran of Mathrubhumi. The first clap was given by PV Gangadharan of Grihalakshmi Productions. Sherien Gangadharan, Shenuga, Shegna and Sherga (Grihalakshmi Productions), Navya Nair, Saiju Kurup, Sreedevi, and Ratheena were part of the ceremony.
Saiju Kurup and Navya Nair most recently appeared as a married pair in the Oruthee film, which was directed by VK Prakash. Details about their parts in the next movie are not yet known, though. With Oruthee, Navya Nair, who had made a comeback in the film industry 8 years post her marriage. She was last seen in the Malayalam film Oruthee.
She also appeared in the Kannada remakes of the Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph thriller series Drishyam, Drishya (2014), and Drishya 2 (2021).
Saiju Kurup, who most recently appeared in the Nivin Pauly-starring film Saturday Night, will be appearing in a number of future films, including Bermuda, Pallotti, and Sthanarthi Sreekuttan. There are plans for a follow-up to his 2021 movie Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan, in which he played the lead role.
