Naga Chaitanya’s poster from Laal Singh Chaddha OUT

On Wednesday, Laal Singh Chaddha’s producers released a brand-new poster for the movie. Naga Chaitanya is shown on the billboard smiling and looking away from the camera while wearing an army uniform. Aamir Khan Productions’ official Instagram page shared the poster with the caption: “Introducing Balaraju from Bodipalem… played by Chaitanya Akkineni! Love you our Yuva Samrat.” Laal Singh Chaddha marks Naga Chaitanya’s Bollywood debut. The actor stars as Laal Singh Chaddha’s friend Bala in the film.

A special screening of the movie had already taken place in Hyderabad. Veteran actors Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, Baahubali and RRR director SS Rajamouli, and Pushpa director Sukumar attended the screening, which Chiranjeevi posted a clip from. Posting the video, Chiranjeevi wrote: “Fascinating how a chance meeting and a little chat with my dear friend Aamir Khan at Kyoto airport – Japan, few years ago led to me becoming a part of his dream project Laal Singh Chaddha. Thank You Aamir Khan for the exclusive preview at my home. Heartened by your warm warm gesture. Most of all, what a gem of a film you have made. Such a wonderful emotional journey.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ classic Forrest Gump. The movie is helmed by Advait Chandan. Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures are producing Laal Singh Chaddha. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh. Raksha Bandhan, directed by Aanand L. Rai, will compete at the box office along with Laal Singh Chaddha. August 11 release date has been set for both movies.
