Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol Movie Review
At last the wait is over and Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol starred by the Complete Actor of Indian Cinema, Mohanlal, had hit the screens all over India today.
The movie directed by Vellimoonga fame director Jibu Jacob and written by M Sindhuraj, has been produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. The film was slated for a Christmas release last year, but they had to postpone the release due to the theater strike that happened here. The expectation was very high for the movie as Mohanlal had scored 3 all-time blockbuster back to back last year. Without any doubt we can say now after watching this movie that, he will score his first blockbuster of this year and his 4th in a row. The plot of this movie revolves around two characters named Ulahannan, who is a Panchayat Secretary and Annieyamma, who is his wife.
Ulahannan was going through a dry period in his life as he knowingly or unknowingly develop a distance from his wife and children. So, he tries to bring back the romance in his life and the film shows his efforts for that and how it changes his life. Jibu Jacob had given us a superb movie in 2014 with Vellimoonga. Now, he had given Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol, which is of course better than Vellimoonga in all sense. He had used Mohanlal as an actor to great effect and the way he presented the small details of family life was just amazing. The screenplay by Sindhuraj was definitely the best ever written by him and each and every character had their own identity. The movie moves forward in a humorous way, giving us lot of moments to laugh and clap. It was a great entertainer and the emotional content in the plot was damn too good. It gives us a message, it entertains us and it will make us think about our life as well. The story presented very realistically and at the same it entertains a lot.
The performance of Mohanlal as Ulahannan was just stunning to say the very least and it is one of the best ever performance from him as an ordinary man. The expressions, comic timing and the romantic mood created by him was just amazing and once again he will make us call him, the Complete Actor, with a complete performance. Meena was superb as well as his wife Annie and their onscreen chemistry was stupendous. Artists like Aima Sebastian, Anoop Menon, Alencier, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Srinda, Bindhu Paniker, Rahul Madhav, Sanoop Santhosh, Sudheer Karamana etc were great as well. Neha Saxena, Asha Sharath, Suresh Krishna etc were superb in cameo roles. The DOP by Pramod Pillai was excellent and the music from Bijipal and M Jayachandran was super cool too. Soorej had edited the flick and he had done a great job as well by making sure that there will not be any lag in the flick at any part.
In Total, Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol is one of the best ever Family Entertainers came in Malayalam Cinema, which will be a great Cinematic experience for you and your family. Don’t miss this movie, because it is a must watch one if you loves your family and really wants to give something special to them.
