Yesterday, Mollywood actor Vijayan Karanthoor shared on social media that he has liver disease and is urgently in need of a suitable donor as only a transplant could save his life. Vijayan Karanthoor has played significant character roles in several Malayalam films, including “Nazrani,” “Parunthu,” and “Salt n Pepper.”
Vijayan Karanthoor posted a picture of him via his Facebook handle and penned a note that read, “Beloved friends, I have been suffering from liver disease for the past five years and have also spent a lot of money for the treatment. “ The actor further mentioned that for the last three months, the disease has reached an acute state, and also it has become a very difficult task to find a suitable donor.
Vijayan Karanthoor’s Facebook note further read, “My hopes are getting shattered. So I am kindly asking each and every one of you to kindly consider my case as your own and please help me find a donor. With a broken heart, I am pleading with everyone to help me..Bring me back to life.”
Vijayan Karanthoor, who is also a theatre performer, director, and acting coach, has acted in a number of well-known Malayalam films. Vijayan Karanthoor made his acting debut in the 1972 Yusufali Kechery film “Maram,” which served as his acting training ground. Major roles in “Maram” were played by actors Jayabharathi, Prem Nazir, Adoor Bhasi, KP Ummer, and a number of other well-known performers.
