Mammootty starrer ‘Big Budget’ has released a new still. M. Padmakumar is the director of the film. Apart from Malayalam, the movie will also be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It is reported that more than 400 theaters will be screening in Kerala. The filmmakers are trying to release the film in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on the same day. Unni Mukundan, Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Siddique, Tarun Arora, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna and Master Achuthan are the other actors. Jayachandran is the music composer. The shooting took place in Kannur, Ottapalam, Kochi, Ernakulam and Vagamon. Mamangam is an upcoming 2019 Indian Malayalam-language period action film directed by M. Padmakumar. Giving an outline on the Mamankam festival that took back in AD 1695, the teaser begins with the introduction, where a person, narrates the history and relevance of the festival to a group of foreigners. And it is almost hard to believe that the bravest warrior who rides into the screen is essayed by a 68-year old actor Mammootty. Helmed by M Padmakumar, the movie is a period saga and narrates the story of the warriors of Valluvanad, who plotted to defeat the Zamorin rulers. Venu Kunnappilly is bankrolling the project under the banner of Kavya Films. Ace cinematographer, Manoj Pillai is cranking the lens and Shankar Ramakrishnan will be crafting the adapted screenplay and dialogues. Also, a multilingual, actor Mammootty plays the lead role of a fiery ‘Chaaver’ (warrior) and Unni Mukundan will be seen in the pivotal role of Chandroth Panicker. The movie tells the story of the historical Mamankam festival. Former Baseball star Prachi Tehlan is playing the female lead while Kaniha and Anu Sithara will be seen in important characters. After ‘Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja’ this is Mammootty’s second period film. M Jayachandran will be handling the music and Mohandas has been roped in as the art director. B-town music composer Sanchit Balhara is handling the background score and the action sequences are choreographed by Sham Kaushal.
