Since he has dominated Mollywood for more than 50 years, every one of his films is eagerly anticipated. The superstar posted a photo on social media today to wish his fans a Happy Malayali New Year. Sharing a photo in a traditional avatar wearing a yellow shirt, white lungis, and sunglasses, he penned “Happy New Year from my heart to all Malayalis.”
On the work front, Mammootty will next play the title role in the eagerly anticipated suspense drama Rorschach. The post-production work for the movie, which is billed as an exciting action thriller, is currently in progress. Regarding the technical team, Anantha Krishnan handled the camera work, and Midhun Mukundan participated in the production as a composer of music. Along with Mammootty, supporting actors in Rorschach include Grace Antony, Sharafudheen, Jagadish, Kottayam Nazeer, and Bindu Panicker.

The makers reportedly plan to unveil this eagerly awaited project on September 7 of this year, which also happens to be the superstar Mammootty’s 71st birthday. However, we are still awaiting an official announcement of the movie’s release date. Made under the direction of Nissam Basheer, the project has been bankrolled by Mammmootty’s recently launched banner, Mammootty Kampany
In addition, Mammootty has been cast in a key role in Agent, the upcoming spy thriller with Akhil Akkineni. The actor will portray a negative character in the film. The production was directed by Surender Reddy and was funded by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the auspices of AK Entertainments in collaboration with Surender 2 Cinema.
