‘Malikappuram’ Is Coming To OTT Release Announced

Malikappuram is one of the most unique successes of  Malayalam cinema. More than a month after its release, the film is moving forward with houseful shows and a good theater count on weekends. In this day and age of wide release, even films that get great initials and positive word of mouth publicity rarely have a great long run. The makers had earlier announced that the film has entered the 100-crore club. Now the film is getting ready for OTT release.

The film will be streamed through the leading OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. But the platform has not announced the exact release date except that it will arrive soon. The announcement of Disney Plus Hotstar was made by releasing a small teaser. The film started its release on December 30 on 145 screens in Kerala and later reached other states of India and foreign markets. This is the film that has received the most positive word of mouth publicity in recent times in Malayalam. As a result, the film was released on 145 screens in Kerala and the show has increased to 233 screens in its fourth week.
