Malayalam music director Alleppey Ranganath passes away


Famous Malayalam music director- lyricist Alleppey Ranganath dies at 73. The incident happened Sunday night. He was going through treatment at Kottayam Medical College as he was tested positive for Covid-19 and had respiratory issues.

He had made more than 2000 tunes in both Malayalam and Tamil. His work includes devotional songs as well. Alleppey Ranganath received the ‘Harivarasanam Award’ this year. Ranganath likewise has learned classical music and Bharatanatyam. His wife, B Rajasri is a classical dancer and tutor. The song ‘Kaattil Kodum Kattil’ which he created for the film ‘Aarante Mulla Kochu Mulla’ which was released in the year 1984 became famous.
