Malayalam actor Kainakary Thankaraj passed away

Well-known theater and film actor Kainakary Thankaraj died at his home in Keralapuram on Sunday (April 3). He was 77 years old. According to the reports, the entertainer was in treatment for liver-related issues for quite a while. The burial service will take place on  Monday.

Hailing from Keralapuram, Kollam, Kainakary Thankaraj made his acting debut with the Prem Nazir starrer film ‘Aana Paachan’ which was released in the year 1978. The actor got wide acknowledgment from the crowd for the role of  Vavachan in the film ‘Ee. Ma.Yau’.

Kainakary Thankaraj played important roles in more than 35 movies and a portion of his remarkable movies includes ‘Amen’, ‘Ee.Ma.Yau.’, ‘Iblis’, ‘Varikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam’, ‘Lucifer‘, ‘Ishq’, ‘Orilathanalil’, and the recently released feel-great dramatization film ‘Home’. Kainakary Thankaraj was most recently seen in the Rojin Thomas executive film ‘Home’ which was released in the year 2021 and was a humongous hit.

The ‘Home’ director Rojin Thomas took to his official Instagram handle and shared a still from the film as an accolade for the Kainakary Thankaraj. Sharing the image, Rojin Thomas wrote a sincere note that read, “ Soul of Our #HOME #KAINAKARITHANKARAJ (appachan) You are always loved and never forgotten.”
