On a personal level, 2022 was a tough year for superstar Mahesh Babu and his family. It was difficult for him emotionally because he had lost his brother, mother, and father all in the same year. While he may not be able to transcend the tragedy, Mahesh Babu is determined to find strength by returning to work. The superstar has started filming for one of the most anticipated Telugu films, tentatively titled SSMB 28. Trivikram helms the film.
“MB is currently shooting for the film’s new schedule at a studio in Hyderabad. The makers will be filming action sequences in the next schedule, to be shot at 4 different sets in Hyderabad. Technically, Mahesh Babu will be taking no break and will continue filming for SSMB28 until February end,” reveals a source close to the development. The source also mentioned that producers, Haarika and Hassine Creations have planned to release the film in August 2023.
Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde has joined Mahesh Babu in the January filming schedule for Trivikram’s upcoming flick. Sreeleela portrays one of the female leads in the film, which is billed as a pure commercial entertainer.
The stunt choreography is being handled by Anbu-Arivu, a well-known action choreographer combo. S Thaman has written music for the much-anticipated project. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights to SSMB 28. After Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2008), this is Mahesh Babu’s third collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas (2010).
Mahesh Babu has also collaborated with SS Rajamouli on a new movie titled SSMB29. SSMB 29, Rajamouli’s first Pan-Indian film, will be a globe-trotting adventure written by Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad. The film’s pre-production work has already begun.
