The Income Tax department conducted a widespread raid on the homes of well-known Malayalam film producers on December 15, including actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. According to reports, the raid took place on Thursday from roughly 7.30 am to 4.30 am (Friday)

According to reports, income-tax investigators searched over 50 places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra that are connected to the producers Anto Joseph, Listin Stephen, Badushah, Subair, Antony Perumbavoor, and actor-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran. According to reports, Antony Perumbavoor was present during the raid at his home.

Officers from Tamil Nadu assisted in the inquiry that was initiated by the Kerala division of the IT department. According to some other stories, the authorities arrived in six cars and did not notify the local police that they would be conducting raids.

According to reports, the IT department also gathered some significant digital evidence from these places after the search, and the department is apparently also looking into the financial dealings of a few financiers and distributors in the movie business.

The majority of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s films are produced by Perumbavur, who has long been an integral part of the actor’s development. Joseph is the closest aide of superstar Mammootty.

Prithviraj Sukumaran was last seen in the film Kaduva. The actor is all geared up for his next film titled Kaapa, which releases on December 22. Kaapa is directed by Shaji Kailas from a script written by GR Indugopen. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the lead character in the movie. Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali, and Anna Ben play important role in the film.
