The Crime Branch wing of Kerala police on Sunday enrolled a body of evidence against entertainer Dileep and five others for supposed investigation officers in the sexual assault case of an actress in which he is also charged. The Crime Branch enrolled on a complaint filed by an investigating officer based on a purported audio clip of Dileep, which was released by a TV channel recently in which the actor was heard planning to kill the officials.
Sources likewise said that director Balachandra Kumar, who had as of late made a few alarming disclosures against Dileep in the entertainer attack case through media, had additionally given a few authenticating statements to the Crime Branch.
Actor Dileep and five others were booked under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 116 (abetment), 118 (concealing design to commit offense), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (criminal act done by several people).
While five individuals including Dileep, two of his family members, and two others were named in the FIR, the 6th charged has been referenced as an “identifiable person”.
The casualty was an entertainer who had forced their way into the vehicle on the night of February 17, 2017, and later escaped in a busy area. The entire act was filmed by some of the accused to blackmail the actress. The victim is an actress who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films.
