Noted Tamil lyricist Pulamaipithan died yesterday in Chennai because of old enough related sicknesses. As sympathies poured in from his fans and adherents of his work via online media, entertainer Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to mourn his demise by talking about his heritage in Tamil verse and composing.
Talking about his commitment to Tamil film, Kamal talked about his inconceivable composing abilities particularly when it came to heartfelt melodies. An author who has writing and craftsmanship in his eyes like Pulamaipithan, will in every case survive his work, he added.
The veteran lyricist has written melodies for top stars including MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan. The lyricist is referred to for writing days of old hits, for example, ‘Naan Yaar Nee Yaar’ from MGR’s 1968 film ‘Kudiyirundha Koil’. Most as of late, he had written the verses for the tune ‘Thaaimai’ sung by Bombay Jayashri in Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Theri’ coordinated by Atlee.
