Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Thalapathy 67 major updates

The much-loved actor-director team of Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj is ready to collaborate once again in Tamil films. The upcoming film by the well-known actor and accomplished director, tentatively named Thalapathy 67, is scheduled to begin production in December 2022. Recently, director Lokesh, who had taken a gap from social media to concentrate on penning the script for Thalapathy 67, made a return. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer has recently received an intriguing update on the shooting schedule from sources close to the project.

The most recent information indicates that for Thalapathy Vijay’s ambitious project, director Lokesh Kanagaraj intends to have a lengthy shooting schedule of 170 days. However, the shooting will be spread out over several schedules that will last for eight months. Director Lokesh and his crew will spend at least 3–4 months on the film’s post-production when the filming is finished. Therefore, it is also certain that Thalapathy 67 won’t be released in theatres until 2023.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Mysskin, who were sought to play antagonistic parts in Thalapathy 67, are reportedly no longer associated with the film. Instead, it is said that the producers are already in negotiations with Tamil superstar Vishal and Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly for major roles in the movie. The female protagonist in the project will be played by Trisha Krishnan, who previously worked with Thalapathy Vijay. Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Narain, Arjun Das, and other well-known actors are among the remainder of the cast.

For the Thalapathy Vijay-starring film, director Lokesh Kanagaraj allegedly intends to rejoin the Vikram team, which includes dialogue writer Rathna Kumar, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj, and music director Anirudh Ravichander. The well-known label Seven Screen Studio is behind the production of the high-profile project. Raaj Kamal Films International, Kamal Haasan’s personal production company, is rumored to be in discussions to co-produce the film.
