Kuttavum Sikshayum: The Journey Begins!

The much-awaited trailer of the ‘Kuttavum Sikshayum’ movie was released on 123 MUSIX today at 6 pm. Directed by Rajeev Ravi, ‘Kuttavum Sikshayum’ is one of the most anticipated real-life police stories in the Malayalam film industry.

Actor Asif Ali, who is playing the lead in the film, launched the trailer along with Sunny Wayne, Sharafuddin, Senthil, and Alencier who also play leading roles in the movie.
The film’s title is adapted from Dostoevsky’s iconic novel Crime and Punishment, however, the film is not inspired by the novel. Kuttavum Sikshayum is based on a real-life investigation of a jewellery robbery in Kasaragod. Sibi Thomas who had led the real-life investigation penned the screenplay with acclaimed journalist Sreejith Divakaran.
Two diverse cultures portray the silent characteristics of Kuttavum Shikshayum. The initial scenes are located at the lush green villages of Idukki, Kerala that are under constant clouds. The subsequent scenes are created at a remote desert village in North India. Rajeev Ravi’s Directorship and Suresh Rajan’s camera aptly show how the colors and cultures of these two distinct places represent the difference in perception of Kuttavum Shikshayum (Crime and Punishment) by the individuals.

The first look poster of ‘Kuttavum Sikshayum’ released on April 19th, 2021 had received much attention as thousands from Kerala Police team shared the posters on their social media handles within an hour. Kuttavum Sikshayum team was constantly receiving messages from the avid fans of Malayalam movies on the details of the movie since then and the trailer has been applauded by them all over.
