KGF star Yash was offered Liger before Vijay Deverakonda

Liger-and-Yash

The actor Yash was reportedly approached by director Puri Jagannadh to play the lead role in his film “Liger,” but the actor rejected his offer. According to rumors, Puri approached the “KGF” star and offered him the lead role in “Liger.” He had even promised the celebrity actor a huge sum of money in exchange for his significant Bollywood debut. The actor respectfully declined the offer, though.

The movie “Liger” fell short of expectations and is likely to cause losses for its distributors. The movie, which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey in key roles, was only moderately successful at the box office. It was produced on a grand scale and even advertised as Mike Tyson’s debut feature film. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan.

The story of “Liger” centers on a young man named Liger (Vijay), along with his widowed mother Balamani (Ramya Krishnan), who has traveled to Mumbai from Telangana in order to support her son’s goal of becoming a national MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) champion. While getting ready for his role in Liger, Vijay trained in mixed martial arts in Thailand. Hindi and Telugu were both used to simultaneously shoot the movie. Vijay has also had his lines dubbed in Hindi in addition to Telugu.

Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is preparing for “Khushi” alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film is helmed by directed by Shiva Nirvana. He also has “Jana Gana Mana” in his kitty. The actor is also in advanced talks with Gowtam Tinnanuri for a film.
