There have been solid gossipy tidbits about Ajith playing a teacher in H Vinoth’s #AK61, with Kavin joining the cast as one of his students. However, a source related to the venture lets us know that there is no base to these reports but maintains that there is a strong possibility of him being part of #AK62. AK62 will be helmed by Vignesh Shivan.
“Kavin is not in this film. He has been approached for Ajith’s film with Vignesh Shivan, which will go on floors only after the star actor completes #Ak61,” explains the source, adding, “Kavin is now playing the lead in Oor Kuruvi, which is being produced by Vignesh and Nayanthara‘s creation house, and the two have a good rapport. Thus, Kavin might be essential for #Ak62, yet affirming anything now’s too soon.”
In the interim, has started with the shooting for #AK61 in Hyderabad from today. The group has raised a huge set of Chennai’s Mount Road at a studio there, and a significant part of that set-up is a bank. The film is a heist thrill ride, the tale of which was described by Vinoth to Ajith while recording Valimai. The female lead is yet to be declared, however, we hear that a well-known south entertainer has been drawn nearer for it.
Then again, Vignesh had narrated the content to Ajith quite a while back, and both had verbally dedicated to doing a film together, which has fructified now. The film – #AK62-has music by Anirudh, and is supposed to go on floors as soon as #AK61 shoot completes.
