The 4-minute, 9-second song begins with a child having fun in a playing zone. However, when he puts on a set of virtual reality glasses, everything changes. All of the other children begin to don the same VR goggles, and we are taken to a separate setting in which Karthi can be seen singing the Maaripoye song.

Karthi, dressed in an uber fashionable black coat and sunglasses, appeared to be grooving to the upbeat beats of the Maaripoye song, leaving the kids perplexed. Karthi is seen dancing with the youngsters among blazing lights as the video progresses. The song concludes with clips from the film, including some of the youngsters.

The video didn’t take long to capture the attention of Karthi fans. Netizens praised Karthi’s vocal abilities and praised the foot-tapping melody. “The detailing and making of this song is next level! What a creative direction… Wow Shreekarthik Sir,” commented one user.

Apart from Karthi, the Maaripoye song has been sung by Travis A King, composed by Jakes Bejoy, and the lyrics have been written by Madhan Karky. The film, Oke Oka Jeevitham, is directed by Shree Karthik and stars Ritu Varma, Sharwanand, and Amala Akkineni in the eponymous roles. The forthcoming science-fiction film is set to enter theatres on September 9 in Tamil and Telugu.
