It’s a major clash at the box office with three big releases – Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, Adivi Shesh’s Major, and Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Vikram’ was released on big screens worldwide on June 3. Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi played the lead roles in the film, and Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, and Arjun Das assumed supporting roles. Tamil actor Suriya played an important role in the guest’s appearance. The music for the film is made by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film has all over got a positive reaction and is now viewed as a triumph. Purportedly, ‘Vikram’ stamped Rs 25 crore at the box office in Tamil Nadu alone on its very first day of release. The official box office collection figures are yet to be announced by the film creators.
It is before long expected that the film will cross the Rs 100 crore mark in three days as it is a weekend. ‘Vikram’ was released on almost 900 screens in Tamil Nadu and 400 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to reports, ‘Vikram’ also ruled international numbers after its release. The film did well in Australia and the USA.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has predicted that the film will reach Rs 100 crore in Tamil Nadu. Manobala Vijayabalan predicts that the film will secure third place in the list of top-opening movies at the Tamil Nadu box office in 2022.
