Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer Hridayam turns one

‘Hridayam,’ directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and starring Pranav Mohanlal, Darshana Rajendran, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, has completed one year today (Jan 21). The film was released on the same day in 2022, and Kalyani Priyadarshan wrote a touching note to commemorate the occasion. In the film, Kalyani Priyadarshan played Nithya, and she shared some flashback photos on social media, saying that ‘Hridayam’ was the film in which she had the most fun while working.

“I’m often asked what is my favorite film (among the ones I’ve been a part of)… well honestly I don’t know how to answer that. Truly almost every film wins an award for some category or the other in my heart,” Kalyani Priyadarshan said in her note.
She continued, “But if you asked me which film I’ve had the happiest time working on… in a heartbeat I’d say #hridayam ♥️ #1yearofhridayam ps: thank you @o_viswajith for these photos. The ones you took on your film camera are just 🥰.”

‘Hridayam’ was released in theatres globally on January 21, 2022. The film was released at a period when Kerala theatres were reopening. Despite the pandemic fears, the public came out in droves, and the film was a box office success, collecting more than Rs 50 crore. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s songs in ‘Hridayam’ contributed to the film’s success. The film was also nominated for two Kerala State Film Awards: Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value and Best Music Director (songs).

On the work front, Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the lead in Sesham Mikeil Fathima. She was last seen in the film Thallumaala with Tovino
