According to reports, the Malayalam actor Jayasurya and three other people have been charged at the Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court for allegedly encroaching on 3.7 cents of puramboke land near the Chilavannur lake in Kochi’s Kadavanthra.
As per reports, the Vigilance Court instructed the VACB to initiate a case based on a petition that was filed in 2016 and claimed that Jayasurya had encroached on 3.7 cents of puramboke land with the aid of three former Kochi Municipal Corporation officers. And according to the petitioner, the actor broke building codes and Coastal Regulation Zone guidelines when he built a boat jetty and a compound wall for his home on the banks of a backwater.
According to the petitioner, Jayasurya allegedly purchased the 11.425-cent property next to Chilavannur Lake in 2007 and built his home. The petitioner further claims that the boat jetty and compound wall are located on the encroached ground. Jayasurya is one of the most well-liked actors in Malayalam films.
In the middle of the 1990s, he started his film career by playing modest roles. He made his acting debut in 2002’s “Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan,” directed by Vinayan. Greetings, Kilukkam Kilukilukkam, and Chathikkatha Chanthu, among others, earned him a well-known face among Malayali cinema fans. Jayasurya was assisted in making a name for himself in the industry by “Classmates.” Actor Jayasurya, who has won two Kerala State Awards, was also given a special mention at the National Film Awards. On the work front, Jayasurya was last seen in the film is ‘Eesho’ directed by Nadirshah.
