Jamaican singer Millie Small has died

Famous Jamaican singer Millie Small, 73, has died. He died of a brain stroke. With her 1964 single “My Boy Lollipop”, Millie made many fans in America and England. The song, which has sold over seven million copies, is the world’s best-selling ska song. Millie Small’s real name is Millicent Dolly May Small. 

millie smallMillie was born in 1946 in Clarendon, South Jamaica. By the age of 12, Millie had established herself as a well-known talent in the Jamaican music world. Upon arriving in London in 1963, Millie introduced Jamaica’s unique music, Ska, to the world. Millie left the music world in the late 70s and moved to Singapore and New Zealand. He then returned to London.
