The ITI exam will be held on Thursday at 179 exam centers in all districts of Bihar. For the first time, thousands of ITI students will appear in the online examination. The first phase exam will be held on 28 and 29 January. For this, all government ITIs and skill development centers have been made examination centers. The remaining candidates will be tested in the next phase.
In Bihar, about 96 thousand students have to take exams in many trades in government and private ITIs. Following the instructions of the Center, the labor resources department has been preparing for the last three days. In the first phase, the target was to conduct 16866 student examinations. 4732 computers were needed for this. The number of computers available in government ITIs was 1318. In such a situation, the cooperation of Bihar Skill Development Mission was sought for the arrangement of the remaining computers. If sources are to be believed, 3896 computers had been arranged till late evening on Tuesday.
In such a situation, in the first phase, arrangements have been made to take the examination of 13520 students in two shifts. 3346 students of the first phase have survived. They will be included in the phase examination. There are 179 examination centers across the state. Most 10 centers are located in Patna.
Demand to postpone the examination further
The decision of the Center to conduct an online examination of ITI has made ITI operators sweat. Basically, all the students have to pay the examination fee of Rs 376. Meanwhile, the Bihar State Progressive ITI Association demanded the Director-General of the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to postpone the examination and issue hall tickets to the candidates at least two weeks in advance.
