Swara Bhaskar said in response to a question from Pinkvilla, ‘I don’t think it is right to say that Mumbai Police was not doing well or was not professional. I think there is a problem that we did not trust the Mumbai Police, we should be. We have no reason to doubt them. I hope the CBI will now be allowed to do its work in a fair and impartial manner. ‘

He further said, ‘I don’t have anything new to add. I have said this before that the courts, the judicial system, should be allowed to do their work. The police should be allowed to do their work. ‘

Recently, Swara Bhaskar told India Today in Sushant Singh Rajput case, ‘Why is it so difficult to accept that he will be depressed? I was reading an article which said that he did not look depressed. what does this mean? How does one look depressed? He is famous. This means that he cannot be depressed. As a society, we should put more emphasis on mental health.

According to the Mumbai Police, Sushant was suffering from a bipolar disorder a few months before the suicide. However, Sushant’s family and many of his friends have denied this in the media. At the same time, Sushant’s father has accused Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty of abetting suicide and grabbing money. Riya has denied the allegations.
