Is Deepika Padukone’s orange bikini scene removed from Pathaan?

Following the release of Pathaan’s first song, Besharam Rang, there was a lot of buzzes over Deepika Padukone’s orange bikini. While admirers adored her in the daring avatar, some on social media chastised the producers for using a ‘saffron’ bikini. Many people, including Madhya Pradesh minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, demanded that the color of the bikini in the song be changed.

While the Pathaan crew has remained tight-lipped about the incident, the filmmakers have refused to modify it. According to reports, the movie kept the orange bikini in the song. However, modest changes have been made to the song.

In a recent interview shared by Yash Raj Films, Deepika told she worked extra hard for Besharam Rang. “For Besharam Rang, I had to work a lot harder. That’s sort of in a way my solo song. The location we were shooting at was really difficult. Even though the song looks really summery, bright, and beautiful, it was actually freezing and extremely windy. So we were working in very very difficult conditions and still to sort of make it look like it was beautiful and sunny was the tough part,” she said.

The actress also talked about sharing the screen and dancing with SRK and remarked how both of them are ‘kind of dancers that don’t really think about the precision of a step’. She also mentioned that both songs were a “hit” even before the film’s release, and she credited the success to the entire crew.

Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, as well as Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. On January 25, 2023, the spy thriller film was released in theatres. On Tuesday night, a special screening of the film was held at the YRF office, with the Pathaan team gathered to view it. Pictures from the screening revealed that the cast was in good spirits as they posed for photos with one another.
