Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is now in the midst of its intense production. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are supporting Indian 2, a sequel to the 1996 movie that earned Kamal Haasan his third National Award for Best Actor.

Jeyamohan, one of the writers of the sequel, provided the most recent information on the movie. The renowned author shared insights into the plot of Indian 2 and Kamal Haasan’s tenacity to give a standout performance in an interview on a YouTube channel.

Jeyamohan said: “The time period in Indian 2 is much earlier than in the first Indian. Similar to Indian, the sequel also centers on a father and a son, except this time, it is Senapathy and his father rather than Senapathy and his son.” Because prosthetics prevent him from eating properly, the author revealed how Kamal Haasan had to starve himself in order to play the part of Senapathy. To stay hydrated, the actor-director was only minimally sipping juice.

Indian 2 also features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, and Bobby Simha in addition to Kamal Haasan. After Indian 2, Kamal Haasan has a tonne of intriguing projects in development, including a movie with Mani Ratnam that is officially confirmed as well as a couple of projects with filmmakers like H Vinoth and Pa Ranjith that are merely rumors.

Kamal Haasan was last seen in the film Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film received acclaim from critics and fans. The film also featured Kalidas Jayaram, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil. Suriya had a cameo in the movie.
