India Reports 10,542 New Cases Of COVID-19

The number of coronavirus infections in India has surged to 10,542, while the number of active cases has risen to 63,562, according to figures updated on Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry. The death toll has grown to 5,31,190, according to news agency PTI, with 38 deaths, including 11 that Kerala reconciled. The total number of cases of Covid-19 was 4.47 crore (4,48,45,401).

The weekly positivity rate was estimated to be 5.1%, while the daily positivity rate was 4.39 percent. According to the government, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.67%, and active cases currently make up 0.14 percent of all infections.4,42,50,649 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.18 percent.

On the country as a whole, the Covid-19 vaccine has been given out in doses totaling 220.66 crores, according to the ministry’s website. According to the state health authority, 949 new instances of the coronavirus were reported in Maharashtra on Tuesday, and six further individuals died as a result of the infection. The government reported in a bulletin that these additions brought the state’s overall Covid-19 total to 81,57,293, while also raising the death toll to 1,48,485.
