Independence Day 2021: Everyone in India is eagerly waiting for 15th August. This day is very special for every Indian. On this day in 1947, India got independence from the British rule. Many heroes have played an important role in this freedom of India. This year India is going to celebrate its 75th Independence Day. The Prime Minister of the country hoists the tricolor at the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day. This day is celebrated with great pomp. 

On this day India got independence from British rule of 200 years. Independence Day is the day that reminds us of the sacrifice of our freedom fighters. This freedom given to India was very important, because for this the heroes of the country sacrificed their lives and fought a lot. Today we are independent only because of the sacrifice of Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sukhdev, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Lala Lajpat Rai, Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak, Chandra Shekhar Azad.
