Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT ) of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), the Ministry of Education, the Ministry has provided in 2021-22 chapter year to mother tongue classes. The new change in IITs and NITs in the country is part of the new national education policy to make education available in the mother tongue of every student. Some IITs and NITs have been shortlisted for this.
Engineering classes in Hindi will be offered at IIT Banaras Hindu University as a first step in the new process. In the coming days, steps will be taken to provide such mother tongue classes to more institutions. Since the announcement of the new education policy, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhri has been talking about providing classes in the mother tongue. The Ministry of Education has announced that from 2021, the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) will be conducted in more indigenous languages. At present the examination is conducted in Hindi, English and Gujarati.
